Logistics Manager
Job Description
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing the supply chain, procurement, transportation, and inventory to ensure seamless operations at the Gulu project site.
Responsibilities
Oversee procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies.
Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize project efficiency.
Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.
Ensure cost-effective and timely supply chain management.
Maintain accurate inventory records and prevent shortages or delays.
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and project teams.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and report on logistics performance and operational costs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in logistics, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong understanding of procurement, transportation, and inventory management.
Excellent negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with logistics software and ERP systems is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Willingness to work on-site in Gulu.
