Civil Engineer

Survic Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team for the Kapeeka project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction activities, ensuring project specifications are met, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Oversee and manage all civil engineering aspects of the Kapeeka project. Interpret and review project blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Ensure compliance with design standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines. Supervise and coordinate construction teams, subcontractors, and site workers. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work. Prepare reports on project status, budgets, and timelines. Resolve technical issues and recommend cost-effective engineering solutions. Ensure materials and equipment meet project requirements. Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and other stakeholders. Implement and enforce health and safety protocols on-site.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction or civil engineering projects. Proven experience in roadworks, buildings, or infrastructure projects is an added advantage. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction materials, and structural design. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Must be registered with the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) or a recognized professional body (preferred). Willingness to work on-site in Kapeeka.
